Estimating Large-Scale Interannual Dynamic Impervious Surface Percentages Based on Regional Divisions

چکیده
Impervious surface information is an important indicator to describe urban development and environmental changes. The substantial increase in impervious area will have a significant impact on the regional landscape environment. Therefore, timely accurate acquisition of large-scale percentage (LISP) great significance for management ecological assessment. However, previous LISP estimation methods often ignored geographic environment climate differences remote sensing information, resulting low overall accuracy obvious estimated results. Thus, this study, based time-series characteristics multi-temporal images combined with geographical heterogeneity, method image fusion divisions was proposed. Firstly, entire region divided into several regions according spatial Köppen–Geiger data MODIS NDVI data. Subsequently, adaptive feature construction were proposed different regions. Finally, used estimate surfaces other years Asia. results indicate that R2 each better than 0.82, models good ability transfer across time can directly without using additional samples. In addition, compared existing products, has higher consistency.

Interactive Gis - Based Impervious Surface
Research has shown that impervious surfaces, a consequence of development, have a direct impact upon stream quality. Local planners and land-use officials need simple tools to help them determine the amount of impervious surface within watersheds and to assess impacts from future development. This paper describes an ArcView GISbased model being developed by the Northeast Regional Earth Science ...
متن کاملEstimating impervious surface distribution by spectral mixture analysis
Estimating the distribution of impervious surface, a major component of the vegetation–impervious surface–soil (V–I–S) model, is important in monitoring urban areas and understanding human activities. Besides its applications in physical geography, such as run-off models and urban change studies, maps showing impervious surface distribution are essential for estimating socio-economic factors, s...
متن کاملEstimating IDF based on daily precipitation using temporal scale model
The intensity –duration –frequency (IDF) curves play most important role in watershed management, flood control and hydraulic design of structures. Conventional method for calculating the IDF curves needs hourly rainfall data in different durations which is not extensively available in many regions. Instead 24-hour precipitation statistics were measured in most rain-gauge stations. In this stud...
متن کاملImpervious Surface Information Extraction Based on Hyperspectral Remote Sensing Imagery
The retrieval of impervious surface information is a hot topic in remote sensing. However, researches on impervious surface retrieval from hyperspectral remote sensing imagery are rare. This paper illustrates a case study of information extraction from urban impervious surfaces based on hyperspectral remote sensing imagery that is intended to improve the image spectral resolution of impermeable...
متن کاملEstimating Impervious Surface Distribution: A Comparison of Object Based Analysis and Spectral Mixture Analysis
Knowledge about the distribution of impervious surface is important to the understanding of urbanization processes and environmental consequences. This paper compares two methods for classifying the degree of imperviousness for the large metropolitan region of the fast growing city of Guangzhou in southern China: spectral mixture analysis (SMA) and object based image analysis (OBIA). Both metho...
